Quality on web pages related to the health

In order to validate the information about health and medicines that contain the web pages there have developed several initiatives between which they can stand out:

• Foundation Health On the Net (HON). It is a question of an organization without fortitude of lucre that from 1995 devotes itself to impel the quality of the web pages that distribute sanitary information through the network. The foundation has prepared an ethical code to identify the medical pages that contain considered quality information. If the page fulfills a few guidelines, there is allowed the inclusion of an identifying stamp of the foundation.

• Internet Healthcare Coalition. The target of the Code of Ethics of and-health is to assure that the people of the whole world could understand, with confidence and with finished understanding of the well-known risks, the Internet potential in the handling of their own health and the health of those under his care.

• Project Webs Quality doctors in Spanish language (pWMC) The project Webs Médicas de Calidad is an initiative in Internet, which takes her as objective progress of the quality of the Webs of sanitary content relative to the health human, developed in Spanish language. The pWMC counts with the support of an important number of scientific institutions and groups of professionals. The quality Stamp WMC credits those webs of sanitary content relative to the health human; with independence of the organization (altruistic or commercial) or person who sustains it.
